Tammy Vice is the producer and host of the “Breaking The Chains” Autism Benefit, held at the Bluebird Cafe’ each year. April 2013 marked the event’s 12th anniversary. She has become a strong parent advocate since her daughter’s diagnosis, at the age of 3.
As a singer and songwriter, Tammy has had four songs hit #1 on independent Christian and Country charts. She was the Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2009 Nominee for the Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Award.
The purpose of Know the Hope is two-fold. Supporting and Strengthening Families; Tammy integrates autism awareness into her music programs to help families like her own adapt to the everyday challenges and joys of raising children with special needs. The program also provides awareness and guidance to others, including businesses and faith communities, on how to include families with disabilities. Working with Individuals with DisAbilities; Sharing music and songwriting skills – “I believe everyone has something to say, something to offer. The art of songwriting gives us a creative voice to express ourselves.”
